Our work is solely funded by generous donations from our corporate sponsors and through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers executive board, directors, members and friends of AEA Miami. We ensure that all the funds raised by AEA Miami are used in the most efficient way possible to directly support our programs in Ayacucho and deliver our mission of improving children’s lives.

Continued Work

We raise money to continue the work initiated by Saint John Paul II.

Empower

We challenge injustice and empower children to overcome the obstacles that hold them back.

First Class Care

We secure the financial means to enable the John Paul II Home to provide first-class care to children.

HISTORY

Always Open

Our Mission

To provide orphans or abandoned children shelter and proper education to enable them to become upstanding citizens.

HOW WE HELP

Our Vision...

To be leaders in providing comprehensive education for children who are orphaned or abandoned taking them in until their inclusion is achieved, as young adults capable of supporting themselves and contributing to society.

A world where all children and young people have a sense of belonging, are loved, and are valued.

History

“Our history dates back to 1985 when Pope Saint John Paul II visited Ayacucho, located in the central-southern region of Peru. During his visit, the Pope donated $50,000 to support the war orphans. With these funds, the ‘Juan Pablo II’ Orphanage Homes were established under the supervision of the Archbishop of Ayacucho, Monsignor Richter Pranda, and Mrs. Anabela Jordán, the wife of the United States Ambassador to Peru. Mrs. Jordán also served as the first President of AEA Lima.
