Through sustainable programs and community involvement, we strive to empower each child with opportunities for growth, hope, and a better life, thus building up citizens of integrity and commitment to society.
Our Vision...
A future where every orphaned and abandoned child and youth in Ayacucho, regardless of their initial circumstances, grows up in a loving and supportive environment, empowered with education, opportunities, and the tools to build a better life for themselves and their community.
History
“Our history dates back to 1985 when Pope Saint John Paul II visited Ayacucho, located in the central-southern region of Peru. During his visit, the Pope donated $50,000 to support the war orphans. With these funds, the ‘Juan Pablo II’ Orphanage Homes were established under the supervision of the Archbishop of Ayacucho, Monsignor Richter Pranda, and Mrs. Anabela Jordán, the wife of the United States Ambassador to Peru. Mrs. Jordán also served as the first President of AEA Lima.
